I am a 35 year old die hard Saints fan. I have rooted for the Saints
my entire life. I literally can not imagine how I would feel or what
I would do if the Saints leave New Orleans.
Let’s be honest with ourselves for a minute. The State of Louisiana
does not have a lot going for it. I feel that I have a right to make
that statement considering the fact that I was born in Louisiana, and
lived the first 27 years of my life there.
You can bring in all the PHD’s in the USA and will never convince
me that the Saints do not have a very important impact on the overall
economy of the State not just New Orleans.
But lest we forget the emotional impact of all the FAITHFUL fans that
have supported that team through mostly lean times. The real losers
would be the fans, and we are the ones that deserve it the most.
I am an educated and intelligent person. But I regret to say that I
am so fearful of the Saints leaving that I have done like the ostrich
and buried my head in the sand hoping this bad dream will end soon and
hopefully will learn that the Saints are here to stay for good.
So, for whoever will listen, PLEASE KEEP THE SAINTS IN NEW ORLEANS. I
have been a die hard Saints fan since I could remember and I don't care
if they go 0-16 I will always love them and never put them down! I have
heard about a petition to be signed and be sent to the governor ( I
will not say her bleeping name). I was wondering what website or where
can I find this petition? I will sign along with about 10 of my friends!
Thanks,
Dennis in Lake Charles
To whom it may concern:
I think the New Orleans Saints should stay in the city of New Orleans
and they have my full support! You can't take away a team that has been
entrenched into the lives of the great people of this great city. They
generate revenue, create jobs, and bring tons of free advertising to our
city. They make New Orleans into a big league city and are vital if we
are to remain a big league city. I have been going to games since I
was 6 years old and one day want my kids to share the same experience
that I shared! If they move it will greatly diminish New Orleans' legacy
and we will be just another Mississippi or Alabama!
Geaux Saints 1967-forever!

I am a lifelong Louisiana resident from St. Bernard
and a recent LSU grad, as well as a soon-to-be UNO MBA
grad. There is always much discussion about the fact
that Lousiana college graduates generally leave the
state looking for better career opportunities. I
decided to stay to try to help reverse that trend,
even though all of my friends left. With all of the
inconveniences that Louisiana residents put up with on
a daily basis, at least we have the Saints as an
escape from the everyday hassles we live with. Now
even this is in jeopardy? It doesn't take a genius to
realize that there is NO POSSIBLE WAY that the
subsidies the state pays to the Saints are more than
the revenue the team generates. For our politicians
to even suggest this is an insult to the intelligence
of all Louisiana residents. Governor, please realize
that you DO NOT hold all the cards, and quit the
political posturing. Get a deal done or you can say
goodbye to another college grad, and probably many
more.
Fear and Loathing in Da Parish This
is for Governor Blanco:
Do you realize how much of our state's rich history lies with the New
Orleans Saints? Getting rid of our boys is insanity! I am a life-long
fan of the Saints, and to be perfectly honest with you, I don't think
I could handle the Hornets being our only professional sports team here....especially
since they are worse than the Saints could ever be....LET'S KEEP OUR
BOYS!
BLESS YOU BOYS!
GEAUX SAINTS!
